Althorp

Althorp is a large estate, with an impressive house, home of the brother of the Princess of Wales.

When visiting you can see nineteen rooms in the House, including some of the Spencer Family's private apartments. You discover magnificent interiors and one of Europe's finest private collections of furniture, pictures and ceramics - the result of one family's uninterrupted occupation for over 500 years.

Next to the House lies the honey-coloured stable block, a truly breathtaking building, home to the award winning exhibition, Diana: A Celebration. Be touched and reflect on the life and work of Diana, Princess of Wales. Outside you can take a relaxing walk down a tree lined avenue, enjoy the remodelled gardens or sit in the peaceful surroundings of the poignant Round Oval Lake.

You'll be able to picnic in  the grounds visit the  café or shop.

From the South - Althorp is clearly signed as you approach Northampton from Junction 16 of the M1. From the North - Althorp can be approached from junction 18 of the M1. Follow signs to Northampton.
