It is difficult to link to some pages on the European Nikon
website as its links are longer than allowed in an html link. So visit the
Nikon
website
 and go to Customer Services, then
Support and Downloads, to get the
firmware or
software
updates.
Please note:
- For some software to operate correctly and
in particular Camera Control Pro 2 you must have software and firmware updates
from the same time, so update ALL firmware and software at the same
time, on all cameras/computers.
- Message centre 2 is run in parallel with
message centre 1 and does not yet support the full product range.

Checking the firmware version
on your Nikon camera
For all D2 series, D300, D200, D3, D40, D50,
D60, D70, D70s , D80 .......... and later
These cameras feature a menu option in the "Set up" (indicated by the spanner
icon) menu which displays the cameras firmware versions. In most cases it is at
the end of the menu list, going up rather than down through the full list is the
quickest way to get to it.
D40, D50 and D80 users must set the 'CSM/setup
menu' option in the setup menu to "Detailed/Full" in order to access the
Firmware menu option.
